JOTHARBOUR · PUBLIC BETA

Write a thought.
Find a little clarity.

A quiet place for big questions and tiny doodles. Write, sketch, bring your own reference materials, and keep the useful bits in a solution sheet.

Free beta. No account. AI off in this browser release. For adults, including adult students.

LESS TYPING. MORE THINKING.

A SMALL FIRST STEP

Bring a page.
Find the useful passage.

Try the reference library right here. Files are read and searched on this device. This tool finds text passages without AI. Open the full browser notebook to write, keep passages and create editable solution sheets. Optional AI connections are being tested separately.

01 / YOUR MATERIALS

Start with what you know.

Lecture notes, a handbook, a reading list. Keep your learning grounded in your own sources.

Your files stay in this browser. No upload to a JotHarbour server.

02 / A LITTLE CLARITY

What are you looking for?

✧

The answer starts with a source.

Add a material and search for a topic.
You’ll see its file name, page and matching text.

These are extracted passages, not generated answers. Check the original for diagrams, equations and layout. Scanned PDFs need OCR first.

MAKE SPACE TO WONDER

Your thinking
doesn’t need a keyboard.

Lined paper for a thought. Dots for a sketch. A little night mode for a late idea. The browser notebook gives you pages, shapes, images, reference search and a separate place to keep your work.

Try your pen here. This small practice area is temporary; download its image to keep it.

YOUR NOTEBOOK. YOUR CHOICES.

Make room for ideas.
Keep control of your data.

Useful software should explain itself. Here’s what this public beta actually does.

Read our security approach →
01 / ON THIS DEVICE

Your materials stay here.

Files are read in the browser. Notes and extracted text are saved in this browser profile. Export backups; local storage is not an encrypted vault.

02 / YOUR CHOICE

AI can wait.

Drawing, search and solution sheets work without AI. This browser release has no model connection and accepts no API keys.

03 / YOUR WAY OUT

Keep a copy. Clear a page.

Export your notebook or solutions. Clear stored notebook data from Privacy in the app. Downloaded exports are yours to manage.

04 / NO HIDDEN SWITCH

Free means no charge.

No billing, automatic renewal, analytics script or advertising tracker is included. Hosting services still process normal website requests.

A HOME FOR YOUR NEXT IDEA

Open a tab.
Make it your notebook.

Use it in a modern browser. On supported devices, choose Install app or Add to Home Screen. Wait for “Offline files ready” in the notebook before relying on offline use.

A compatible touchscreen or stylus is optional. Mouse and keyboard work too. Your notebook stays in this browser profile; it does not automatically sync between devices. Choose Windows, Mac, Linux, Android or iPhone.

A few useful answers.

Does it work offline?

The notebook caches its app files after the first successful online visit, where supported. Wait for “Offline files ready” inside the notebook. Writing, local reference search, solution sheets and exports then work without a model or internet connection. Web search and the first installation need internet. Browser storage policies apply; export important work.

Where is the AI?

AI is optional. This public browser beta does not generate answers or recognise handwriting. It finds text passages using keywords and keeps your own notes and drawings. Local Ollama and OpenAI/Claude API connections are being tested privately; they are not part of this public release. No model guarantees correct or suitable answers.

What about children?

This initial beta is for adults, including adult students and professionals. A children’s experience is planned after privacy, safeguarding and usability review. It is not a certified child-safe learning service.

Can I upload course materials?

Choose text PDFs, DOCX, TXT or Markdown up to 10 MB each. They are read on this device; the original file stays where you selected it. Scanned PDFs need OCR first. Text extraction may lose equations, diagrams and layout. Search results are source excerpts, not verified solutions.

How do I share feedback or a security concern?

Email jotharbour.support@gmail.com for support, privacy questions or security concerns. You can also visit Feedback to prepare a report on your device and attach it yourself. Downloads are not sent automatically. Do not include private documents or credentials.

How do I remove the sample materials?

The demo below uses a separate browser store from the full notebook. This button clears the demo’s extracted text. To clear the full notebook, open Privacy inside the app. Downloaded exports must be deleted separately.
